LSTAR Gives Back to Members and the Local Community

The second half of November and the beginning of December 2019 were very busy at LSTAR, as the Association gave back to its Members and the local community through various appreciation and charitable events.

LSTAR's 2019 Winter Wonderland Christmas Gala

LSTAR's biggest annual fundraiser, the 2019 Winter Wonderland Christmas Gala was held on Friday, November 15, 2019, at the RBC Place in London. The $15,000 raised at this year's Gala will go to Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre, Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness in London and Violence Against Women Services Elgin County.

LSTAR's BusinessCares Food Drive

On Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st, LSTAR participated to the London Business Cares Food Drive with five teams of REALTORS® and succeeded to collect more than ten thousand pounds of food items for the London Food Bank.

LSTAR Children's Christmas Party

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, London Centennial Hall hosted LSTAR's annual Children's Christmas Party, which has become a fundraising event, with proceeds going to Investing in Children and all new or gently used toys going to Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre.

Tampon Tuesday at LSTAR

On December 10, 2019, a Tampon Tuesday event was held at LSTAR. Despite the fact that this was the first time when Tampon Tuesday took place at LSTAR, the event was a success, with lots of members and non-members who came to donate feminine hygiene products to the London Food Bank.

2019 REALTOR® Christmas Kettle Drive

On Thursday, December 12, we had the 2019 REALTOR® Christmas Kettle Drive - in both London and St. Thomas. In St. Thomas alone there were 48 REALTORS® covering seven grocery stores!

"Heart and Soul" Administrative Staff Luncheon

On the same date we organized the "Heart and Soul" Administrative Staff Luncheon at LSTAR. Through this event, the Association wanted to express its appreciation for the administrative personnel employed by all its member brokerages.
